PROTECTING HERITAGE AND TRADITIONS
the tangible (built environment, building techniques) and the intangible heritage (craft, olive oil production, textiles, traditions, and decorations) are to be recorded through a series of interviews and documentaries; a small museum will be created in one room of the two restored buildings containing visual educative displays of local culture and traditions.
Through local NGOs we will support craft projects for the design and creation of products made by women that could be sold locally and online.
These activities support economic development through creation of businesses supporting women, and new touristic tracks, and provide opportunities for outreach to promote the Mountain Heritage across a wider audience, involving local communities so that they perceive it as a common and shared good and safeguarding it for future generations while helping to raise awareness about the challenges posed by climate change.
