TRAINING
extensive training will be provided to support the project’s aims. Multi-methodology training will take place (in Tataouine, due to the current inaccessibility of Libya) for the documentation of sites and monuments using GIS, drones, laser scanner, photogrammetry, 3D modelling, quantitative analysis of environmental and conflict damage.
This documentation will also provide for training in condition assessment, conservation planning and practical conservation.
The training will also support the creation of a GIS unit in Libya for enhanced effective heritage management.
As part of the project’s support for outreach and promoting the intangible heritage, there will be training in museum management security (in collaboration with ICOM with five additional museum staff from the MENA region) and museum display.
