Othman Ammar

Dr. Othman Ammar is Senior Researcher HDR at the Tunisian National Heritage Institute. He is also Regional Heritage Inspector for the Southern Sahel. His research revolves around the forms of legitimization of power in Ifriqiya during the medieval period and the passage from Late Antiquity to the Islamic era. He is a member of the recruitment commissions for historical and archaeological research officers and associates and of the commission for studies and excavations at the National Heritage Institute. He directs conservation-restoration and rehabilitation projects for several historical monuments and archaeological sites
